Bellevue college is a public institution in Bellevue, WA. It's a community college and it was established in 1966 and is very culturally diverse. In America College comes after grade school, most kids and teenagers go from kindergarten to 12th grade and if the do a running start program they can start college in 10th grade. Most kids going to college are preparing for a university which is a place students can go to get their master degrees.
Library/student lounge:
At college we look for higher education and we are mostly here to study about a subject we wish to learn or we are getting ready to go to a university. The library is a place where people go to read books for class or even if they are interested in them, most library's have a fiction and non fiction area.The picture on the top is a picture of a library isle, a library is a place you can go to research on a topic you would wish to know about. To the right are study desks in the library were you can quietly study and do homework, and the picture below is a student lounge were you can study, have conversations or just relax and go on your computer.
Food/beverage:
At college you can either bring your own food from home or go to a cafe or the cafeteria if you are hungry. The picture to the top is a picture of our school cafeteria, people go their to eat and hang out with friends. The picture on the right is a picture of the types of garbage cans at school. We separate our garbage to distinguish what is re-usable and what is not usable.
The picture to the left is a cold table holding fruit and doughnuts inside the cafeteria. Students can grab the fruit they choose and buy it with money. Food gets delivered weekly and is always in stock, their are companies to grow fruit and make other commodities for people to buy. The picture on the bottom is were you can get hot food rather than cold food, you just ask for what you want to eat and take one.
The picture to the left is a cafe, this is where students can get coffee and small snacks for an energy boost throughout the day. You would also use currency to obtain these objects.
To the left is a picture of a drinking fountain, most people buy their water around campus but if you want free water then you can go to the water fountains.
The picture to the right is of a touch screen vending machine, people trade money to get a drink of their choice. From this machine you can get water or soda. Soda is a luxury drink that people get for taste.
transportation:
To the top is a picture of an electric car charger, people use these things to charge their electric cars. Most people that drive don't use electric cars and park in the parking garage or parking lots. Cars are used for transportation to get to and from school. Some people ride the bus! To the right is a picture of the bus stop, where public transportation comes to take people to and from designated stops. To the bottom is a picture of an circular area where students can get dropped off to go to class.
Cool things around campus:
To the right is a green house, it is a controlled climate area where the school has classes for botany. Students and teachers grow plants in their that could not grow in Washington's climate.
To the left is a picture of the top of the planetarium, the planetarium is a placed used for studying the stars,constellations, planets and anything related to outer space. The college has a massive computer that simulates the night sky.
To the right is a blood donation bus, people donate blood for good causes. Such as medical reasons. In America people donate for good causes, not only do people donate blood, but donate money for people with illnesses.
To the right is an ATM which stands for automated teller machine, at an ATM people will pull money or transfer money from their bank accounts to buy things on campus. This is the device that transfers electronic currency to a physical object.
To the right is a piece of art around the campus, their are several art structures around the school. The art structure is demonstrating people going through a door, which represents the door to "success" or "education".
To the left is the college book store, in the college bookstore you can buy supply and books for class. This is where you would get writing utensils and other objects for school.
Sports:
To the top is a picture of the basketball court and scoreboard, sports can be very important for schools, it is very competitive and this is where students would practice. To the bottom is a case of trophies our school has won for doing good in sports, and to the right is a picture of the gym, where students go to stay fit and get stronger.
